Zimbabwe’s Underground Culture Takes Over Harare for Three Days of Art, Sound, and Street Energy
The streets are calling again — and this time, the underground is taking center stage. From October 24 to 26, the Fabrik Party Convention 2025 returns to Alliance Française de Harare, promising three high-voltage days celebrating Zimbabwe’s most daring creatives in art, fashion, music, and design.
Born in 2020 from the restless vision of Ulenni Okandlovu, the Fabrik Party has evolved from backyard pop-ups to one of the country’s most authentic platforms for underground expression. Over 300 creatives — from stylists and filmmakers to beatmakers and visual artists — have passed through its doors, redefining what Zimbabwean culture looks and sounds like in the 2020s.
This year’s edition raises the bar. Backed by Alliance Française de Harare, ICATHA, CALIGRAPH, and the DAM Collective, the convention blends the experimental with the accessible. The program features free creative workshops on music production, styling, and photography, streetwear markets, art exhibitions, and a fashion runway showcasing designers from Harare, Bulawayo, Marondera, Kwekwe, and even Victoria Falls.
Music lovers are in for an eclectic mix — with live performances from Bhekiwe, Israel, Acid Tears, and DJs from the Femme Sonic and On Fire Collectives spinning until sunset. And in a powerful nod to regional collaboration, South African producer MUZI will host a special international music workshop, bridging Zimbabwe’s sound with continental energy.

What sets Fabrik Party apart is its mission — it’s not about mainstream glamour, it’s about authenticity, inclusivity, and community. The event is open to all ages, inviting families, creatives, and culture lovers to dive into a space where art meets rebellion, and style meets storytelling.
After five years of pushing the boundaries of what local art spaces can be, Fabrik Party 2025 isn’t just a convention — it’s a cultural recharge. It’s where the next generation of Zimbabwean creativity gets loud, proud, and beautifully unpredictable.
