Warriors begin their world cup quest

The Zimbabwean national men’s football team, the Warriors, have departed the country en route to Rwanda for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Posting on their social media handles Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) highlighted that the technical team left the country with a contingent of locally based players.
“The Warriors technical team and locally-based players, Tanaka Shandirwa, Frank Makarati, Donovan Bernard, Walter Musona, Obriel Chirinda, Peter Muduhwa, Andrew Mbeba, and Brian Banda are on their way to Rwanda for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Saudi-based Gerald Takwara is also part of the delegation.
“Other foreign-based players will join camp from the 13th onwards,”added ZIFA
Zimbabwe play Rwanda on the 15th of November and Nigeria on the 19th.
