Drama erupts between Stunner, baby mama Dyonne and wife Olinda Chapel

By Vincent Mungofa – Harare | December 18, 2025

A heated domestic dispute involving veteran Zimbabwean rapper Desmond Chideme aka Stunner, his baby mama Dyonne Tafirenyika  and his current wife Olinda Chapel has spilled into the public eye following allegations of child mistreatment and a contested custody demand.

The drama reportedly began after Stunner accused Dyonne of mistreating their daughter, which necessitated the need to take the child aboard after a five-day visit to her father.

According to sources close to the matter, the allegations prompted the hip-hop star to take the child into his care, choosing to stay with her alongside his wife, Olinda Chapel, in what he described as an effort to protect the child’s well-being.

Tensions escalated when Dyonne allegedly forced her way into the home of her ex, rapper Stunner , and his partner Olinda Chapel, demanding the return of her child. Dyonne reportedly claimed she was met with resistance, accusing Olinda of hiding the child in a wardrobe, an allegation Olinda has strongly denied.

In a Facebook Live video, Stunner and Olinda claimed Dyonne came accompanied by individuals they alleged were ZANU PF security personnel. In the live video, Dyonne could be seen at Olinda and Stunner’s residence, where they were chasing her away.

Olinda, slammed what she described as “side chick” drama, claiming that she and her daughter had received death threats involving mentions of the President’s office.

The couple disputed the approach taken, arguing that the involvement of alleged security elements heightened the situation and caused unnecessary fear and confusion.

Taking to his Facebook account, Stunner thanked what he termed the elders and authorities who intervened to defuse the confrontation and safeguard his family.

“Thank you vakuru (elders) for protecting my wife and my children,” he said, while expressing deep frustration over his struggle to remain involved in his daughter’s life.

He expressed that many women seek greater paternal involvement, but for him it is the opposite, as he faces resistance despite his willingness to care for his child.

“As I think of the number of women who cry to have fathers involve themselves in their children’s lives, here I am suffering just to be with my daughter.

“Zimbabwe is not a banana republic; it is indeed a country with laws. There are people who have intervened in this matter, and it will be settled using a proper legal route, not in a barbaric manner. People must refrain from using the name of the President or impersonating him to protect their criminal activities,” he posted.
