A bitter family dispute has erupted between popular comedian Admire Mushambi, widely known as Mama Vee, and his brother Nkosilathi Mushambi, turning a once close relationship into a highly public and emotionally charged fallout that has drawn widespread attention on social media.

The conflict stems from allegations recently made by fellow comedian Chipo the trouble causer, who is reportedly in a romantic relationship with Nkosi. Chipo the trouble causer has accused Mama Vee of being the mastermind behind the leaking of her private nude photograph.

Although no official charges have been announced, the accusations have triggered a dramatic rift, with Nkosi openly attacking his brother online—a move that stunned followers who were aware of Mama Vee’s long-standing support for him.

In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Mama Vee painted a picture of years of sacrifice and loyalty. He revealed that he had taken Nkosi into his home against the advice of family members and friends, insisting on helping him out of a sense of responsibility as his brother, particularly following the death of Nkosi’s mother when he was still young.

Mama Vee detailed how he assisted Nkosi in obtaining key personal documents, including a birth certificate, national identity documents, a passport and a driver’s licence. He also said he facilitated Nkosi’s enrolment at a driving school in Harare and supported his travel applications, which were recently approved and now require only a few remaining documents for relocation to Europe.

The comedian further disclosed that tensions escalated when Nkosi allegedly began abusing drugs. Mama Vee said he engaged rehabilitation services in an effort to help his brother, but the situation deteriorated after Nkosi reportedly absconded from the programme.

Expressing pain and disappointment, Mama Vee said the public accusations felt like a deep betrayal. He went on to issue public apologies to individuals and families whose names were drawn into the dispute, including the Mushambi family, and stated that he would no longer comment on the matter publicly.
