Zimbabwe is set to host one of its biggest international hip-hop moments after American rap heavyweight Rick Ross officially confirmed a live performance in Harare on 28 February 2026.
Ross announced the news in a video shared on Instagram. In the video, Rick Ross is captured saying, “Zimbabwe, I just got word I’m comin’ out rockin’ with my homie Scott. The birthday bash is gon’ be next level, February 28th.
“It’s gonna be historic, we makin’ history. It’s all about big moves, and my homie Scott makes big moves. Yeah, I can’t wait.”
The announcement, linked to a high-profile birthday celebration hosted by Harare-based businessman Scott Sakupwanya, has sparked widespread excitement across social media. It is not the first time that the Mabvuku legislator has brought Ross in the country. In 2022 he was brought through organizers, ROAR Entertainment and he was reportedly hired for US$200 000 for a concert that was held at the Harare International Conference Center.
Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, is known globally as the multi grammy award winner, chart-topping albums.
