Blot Takes Break From Music Over Health Concerns

By CloutBase | Harare July 10, 2026

Zimdancehall musician Blot has temporarily stepped away from the stage after announcing that he is taking a break from performing due to illness and other private personal matters.

In an official statement released on Friday, the artiste’s management and family confirmed that all scheduled performances between July 10 and August 10 have been cancelled to allow him time to focus on his recovery and personal wellbeing.

“We regret to inform you that Blot will not be taking any performances at this time due to illness and other private personal matters,” the statement read.

The announcement comes as disappointing news for fans and event organisers who had booked the musician for shows during the period.

Management also apologised to promoters and supporters for the inconvenience, adding that all deposits paid for cancelled performances would be refunded.

“To everyone who has already booked shows and paid a deposit, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Our management team will contact you to arrange refunds of all deposits paid,” the statement added.

While no further details were provided regarding the nature of Blot’s illness, management asked fans to respect the artiste’s privacy and thanked them for their continued support during what it described as a difficult period.

The team also assured supporters that updates on Blot’s condition and return to the stage would be communicated once he is ready to resume performing.

The announcement has since attracted messages of encouragement from fans on social media, with many wishing the Zimdancehall star a speedy recovery and expressing hope that he will soon return to doing what he loves most.
