Ndunge Yut Fires Shots at Tinashe Mutarisi Over Unpaid Performance Fee

By Pride Mzarabani – Harare | November 12, 2025

Zimdancehall star Ndunge Yut has set social media ablaze after publicly demanding his payment from businessman and Nash TV founder Tinashe Mutarisi for his performance at Nisha Ts’ Woman King album launch — a dispute that has now exploded into full-blown online drama.

The artist, real name Givemore Bonde, said he has been waiting since the September 13, 2025 event at Chitungwiza’s Aquatic Complex to receive his performance fee. Frustrated by the delay, Ndunge Yut took to social media with a fiery post aimed at Mutarisi, insisting he only wants what he is owed.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Ndunge Yut detailed his attempts to secure payment, claiming multiple visits to the company’s offices and repeated but unfulfilled promises of Ecocash payment.

“Chatove chikumbiro ndiri kukumbirooo ndiri kumbirawo payment yeku album launch ya Nisha … company inonzi Nash tv …. i visited your office more than 5 times … muri Kungoti you will send me ecocash ,,, nanhasi hamusati maiwana here … chidairai Mafon tizive than to ignore. Vamutarisi your p.a arikuti iyee ndanzi Ndisende ecocash,.. isusu ikoko ndokubasa kwedu. If you feel kuti we must work for free to you it’s very wrong. I came here cox you not picking your calls now,” he wrote.

Ndunge Yut \ Mutarisi feud

Mutarisi, however, offered a different version of events. He said Ndunge Yut requested to perform at the launch and verbally agreed to a US$500 fee, adding that he only performed two songs — one of his own and Hauna Care, his collaboration with Raymer, the upcoming artist now under the Nash TV stable.

Adding fuel to the drama, Ndunge also posted a blank performance contract quoting US$1,200. He dismissed any suggestion of a formalised deal beyond the contract, accusing the company of creating “fairy tales” to avoid paying what they owe. He also denied indicated that he does not work for Nash TV, insisting his interactions were strictly about following up on the overdue fee.

The contract posted by Ndunge Yut

“I think muri worried kuti imbori mariiii saka inini ndiri kuti contract yachooo ndiyoyi zvese zvamukutaura yave nhau yekusada ne mari … handishande ku Nash I don’t remember coming ikoko unless ndaifambira payment Chete.. paya tenge tichitoti Tipei mari. Zva Raymer dzave ngano idzii ndati ndirikuda mari chete. Handisati ndambokuonai gore rino kana ka one. You send people to me Chete saka zvekukumbirai nekudhakwa ndezvei,” he posted.

Mutarisi admitted that he initially believed the artist had already been paid, which led to his online comment accusing Ndunge of trying to rise again by tarnishing his image — something he later apologized for. After his PA confirmed the payment hadn’t been processed, Mutarisi said he then sent the US$500 via Ecocash “as agreed.”

Ndunge’s frustrations were not only about payment. He was angered by Mutarisi’s suggestion that he had been excluded from Raymer’s upcoming album launch on November 22 because of alleged alcohol-related behaviour at the Woman King event. To defend himself, Ndunge shared a video of his performance, insisting he conducted himself professionally.

Another point of tension, according to Mutarisi, is that Nash TV recently issued a copyright claim on Hauna Care Neni, Ndunge and Raymer’s collaboration, after Ndunge uploaded it to his YouTube channel.

Despite the heated exchanges, Mutarisi publicly apologized and Ndunge received his money. However, Ndunge later posted another video questioning when the remaining payment would be made, pointing to the US$1,200 figure on the contract he shared.

Fans are still divided over one question: who actually initiated the Raymer show negotiations? Ndunge insists he was approached. Mutarisi said Ndunge sought the gig.

As the online dust settles, attention now shifts to Raymer’s highly anticipated album launch — also at the Aquatic Complex — on November 22, 2025. The event will feature performances from Runna Rulez, Culture Love, Baba Harare, Kinnah, and other label heavyweights, promising another night of high-energy music… hopefully without backstage drama this time.
