Zimbabwean social media personalities, Better Kudakwashe Madhuyu and his wife Kylie Tonsani, commonly known as Tytie and Kiki, have faced a significant legal defeat.

The couple was found guilty of defaming lawyer Moreboys Munetsi in a High Court case. The couple’s defamatory statements, which included labeling Munetsi as “evil” and a “liar,” were disseminated through their social media platforms. To compound the issue, they publicly shared Munetsi’s personal contact information, subjecting him to harassment.

Munetsi successfully pursued legal action in the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division, securing a judgment in his favor.

Munetsi escalated the matter by filing a complaint with the Sandton Police Station.

The case progressed to the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division, in Cape Town, where it was heard under case number 16255/2024. Represented by Advocate Isiah Mureriwa, instructed by Simbarashe Kanyoka, Munetsi successfully defended his reputation, with the court finding Tytie and Kiki liable for defamation.
