Three nights, three sold out crowds: Kandoro’s shows a huge success
King Kandoro, born Mukudzei Kandoro Majoni, performed a series of sold-out shows in Harare as part of his “Properganda World Tour”.
The shows took place at the iconic Reps Theatre, with three performances over the weekend of June 7-9, all of which were completely sold out.
This brings the total number of sold-out shows for the “Properganda World Tour” to nine. The tour has been generating significant buzz across the region, with four sold-out performances in South Africa, one in Kenya, and now four more in Zimbabwe.
The Harare edition of the tour featured different opening acts each night, as well as a surprise appearance by the “Slick Pastor” Nijo, who introduced Kandoro at the first show. ProBeatz also served as the MC for one of the concerts.

Kandoro was born in September 1992, and his early life marked by a strong emphasis on education, with his parents, both civil servants, instilling in him the importance of academic success. However, during his third year at Rhodes University, Kandoro discovered his passion for comedy and decided to pursue it professionally.
In 2015, Kandoro began performing stand-up comedy, and by 2017, he had gained significant popularity with his Madhorofiya Republik skits. These skits were part of a larger creative project that included a podcast, an animated series, and social media content. Kandoro’s work quickly gained traction, and he became known for his unique blend of humor and social commentary.
In 2019, Kandoro made history by becoming the first comedian to sell out a headline show at the Reps Theatre in Harare. This achievement marked a significant milestone in his career, and he continued to push boundaries with his performances. In 2021, he sold out the 7 Arts Theatre with his Prodigal Son Tour, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and innovative comedian.
Kandoro’s success extends beyond his live performances. His podcast, “Sadza in the Morning,” has become one of the most popular in Zimbabwe, with over 400,000 downloads. He has also collaborated with other content creators and media houses, including Magamba TV and Mindless TV.
Throughout his career, Kandoro has been driven by his desire to make people laugh and to use his platform to comment on current events and social issues. His dedication to his craft and his ability to connect with audiences have made him a beloved figure in Zimbabwean comedy.
